The College of Humanitarian Operations and Crisis Management will be hosting their fourth mini-conference on Thursday May 7 2015 in Washington DC, one day prior to the POMS annual conference. Join us to explore new topics relevant to humanitarian operations and crisis management and to learn from both practitioners and academics. This is a great opportunity to meet with experts in this area that may inform and inspire your research!

Due to some confusion there has been a change this year in the tracks from previous conferences. The POMS organisers have decided to remove the HOCM Track and instead have inserted the “Humanitarian and Not-for-Profit Operations” (HNPO) track.

It’s that time of year again we would like to bring your attention to the forthcoming POMS conference taking place in Washington D.C. this year from May 8th -11th. The POMS College of Humanitarian Operations and Crisis Management (HOCM) would like to invite you to submit a paper on a topic relevant to HOCM for the upcoming annual POMS conference in Washington D. C., USA, on May 8-11, 2015.

The POMS College of Humanitarian Operations & Crisis Management invites all HOCM researchers to submit their papers to the College of HOCM Best Paper Award Competition. The award will be presented at the HOCM Business Meeting during the conference. The objective of the competition is to identify and honor outstanding papers in the fast-growing field of HOCM. Submissions will be judged based on their contribution towards the advancement of theory and practice of HOCM. All research methods, including field/case studies, empirical and analytical methods are encouraged.
