The College of Healthcare Operations (CHOM) of the Production & Operations Management Society (POMS) is planning the fourth annual Synapse Mini-Conference to connect academics and practitioners, on May 7, 2015, the afternoon before the start of the main POMS conference. We invite you to submit a proposal for a Showcase Presentation. The selected authors will be invited to present their work through a 30-minute presentation. This event will occur during the mini-conference in the late afternoon session.The CHOM mini-conference registration fee will be waived for one presenting author of each of the selected presentations.

The best paper competition is held each year to identify and honor outstanding papers in the field of Healthcare Operations Management. Each submitted paper will be judged based on its contribution towards the advancement of theory and practice of Healthcare Operations Management. The research should have relevance to theory and have a potential to impact practice. The topic of the paper should fall within the scope of healthcare operations management. All research methods, including field/case studies, empirical and analytical methods are encouraged. There are four conditions for eligibility:
